The iMove program: Leveraging robotics to enhance efficiency

Supplying our own uninterrupted source of energy ensures continuous operations.
We have invested $30 million in energy cogeneration systems to support the resilience of our two plants in Puerto Rico. Together they produce more than 250 million units of IV solutions per year, so protecting the plants and taking steps to maintain uninterrupted production are of vital importance.
Cogeneration utilizes natural gas and therefore reduces our reliance on the local utility grid. So regardless of public power disruption or environmental disasters, we can continue operations 24/7.

Enhanced efficiency
State-of-the-art software provides end-to-end condition monitoring, using machine learning to detect abnormal conditions in equipment and implement predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime. This has helped us realize significant operational efficiencies.
Boosted production
Automation and robotics are being used in our North Cove facility to fill mix tanks and individual IV bags, increasing efficiency, safety and capacity.
Improved safety
We have begun using Promixity Assist in our largest warehouse in Mt. Carmel to help improve safety.
